Brabo, bravo, bravo
❤❤❤❤❤❤
"Die Stadt" is a genial composition. almost impressionist
Magnificent! The articulation and dynamics are so creative and captivating ❤❤❤ I am confident to say this is the best interpretation I've heard.
UH???! Ester Tonea not one of the top 3? Of course, the other contestants were quite wonderful too.
Hector is brilliant 👍👍
What a pompous fellow...the interviewer 😮
Nice to see Thomas in such great spirits 👏🏻
Stunningly beautiful interpretation.
2:56:02 - 2:56:22 This is so beautiful!!!
Difficult to choose between the two players , who to admire more! I thank Isserlis for pointing out that Beethoven is about the joy in music. Brahms cello sonatas are great, but listening to this “elevating” music there are other elements in the cello sonata that open up a new world!
Meh.
What piece of music is Dame Myra playing - does anybody know please?
Thank you so much for sharing this, I'm enjoying watching this immensely, Thomas is such a great tutor to take lessons from, and the charmingest person with the loveliest voice and the greatest sense of humour!
Mr Salmon...please change your teacher....please!!!
Thank you for another invaluable masterclass 🎉
he should open his jacket though......😂
I always admire the singers; I would find taking the feedback publicly and adapting on the spot so difficult.
a gifted pupil too....
The first singer who sang Die Stadt is truly remarkable. So is the accompanying pianist. I’ve heard many different performances of this piece, and this one is truly extraordinary.
A truly extraordinary performance by two wonderful artists. THANK YOU!!

so natural lesson, thank you..
Thank you! Great masterclass with the Voice Master!

I'd almost forgotten how tiny that stage is! The most perfect piano I ever played
Quasthoff is a marvelous teacher, and what a voice!
Marvelous!!
This is just sooooo interesting for all musicians.Thank you.
Excelente. Una coordinación asombrosa y el resultado una música límpida que dan ganas de escuchar y que no termine nunca. Además Mendelssohn con el equilibrio asombroso que hace distinguible su ritmo. Éxito para el futuro, desde Tucumán, Argentina.
Good fun and well done to all! The winner was Mendelssohn!

she sounds like an old woman. everything too covered , not in the mask
He is incredible
Сложнейшая программа! Совершенное исполнение! Браво. дорогой Маэстро!БРАВО!!!!!
Fifty years ago I played this music my musiccollege.
Wonderful!
The worst Petrouchka ever heard… by far

I have heard native German singers and choirs sing ‘ewiglich’ with the ‘g’ as ‘ch’. Similarly with ‘Seligkeit’ and ‘Niedrigkeit’.
one thing I learned from watching Martin Katz and Dalton Baldwin was that the pianist should be very still and not atteact attention in any other way other than with his/her playing
beautiful singing and playing. perhaps a looser dress so we don't see what you ate for breakfast. very distracting!
Thank you so much. Just amazing as always 👏 👏 👏
This is breathtaking. I see he’s playing a Fazoli. I wonder if that is helping the melody simply pierce through. With Steinways, it always feels a bit darker and duller. With this piano you rightly hear the contrast between high octaves and the low ones.
Il suono del fazioli è superbo! Ho avuto la fortuna e la possibilità di possederne uno per diversi anni, anche la tastiera è stupenda da suonare e toccare.
Sokolov had the right idea for the second half ... connecting the fantasy to the sonata makes it much more dramatic
BRAVO🎉
Make me happy every second
